Recipe Corner

Indian cuisine : Dum Aloo
Potatoes 90gms
Oil for deep frying
Olive oil 1/2cup
Onion 1 large
Tomato puree 4 tbsp
Water 3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Curd 140 ml
Green pepper 1
Garam masala 1 tsp

Spices :
Cloves 4
Bay leaves 4
Black peppercorn 6
Green cardamom 4
cinnamon stick 1 piece

For paste:
Onion 1 large
Garlic 4 flakes
Ginger 2tbsp
Black peppercorn 6
Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Dry red chillies 2
Turmeric Powder 1tsp

Method :
#Prick potatoes wit fork n soak for 2 hrs in salted water.
#Then deep fry.
#Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onion & all spices in it. Cook till it gets golden .
#Grind all the paste ingredients in to a fine paste n add it in to onion.
#Cook for few mins. Stir in tomato puree,curd n salt
#Add potatoes & hot water& stir over low flame for 5 mins.
#Sprinkle dum aloo with pepper & garam masala & cook for few mins more.
