Recipe Corner

Macaroni


Ingredients:
1 cup Macaroni
2 spoon Tomato Sauce
1 spoon Cumin Powder
1 spoon Garam Masala
1 spoon Coriander Powder
2 spoon Refined Oil
Salt to taste

Method:
* Boil macaroni for 10 mins. & strain thro' cold water.
* Heat oil in a pan. Add macaroni to it. Cook for 1 min.
* Now add tomato sauce, cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder & salt & mix it.
* Cook for 1 min.

Tip: U can also add veggies to it to enhance its taste.

Every relation is special in this world. But few are very close to our heart & has their own importance in our life like the husband-wife relation. This relation is tied with the knot of love & faith. Very little misunderstanding can spoil a relation. This relation generally goes thro' highs & lows of life. U can't stop these phases but can tackle them with patience, love & understanding & can make ur relation the best in the world.

* Understand each others feeling & respect each other decisions.
*Give "space" to each other. everybody wants that he/she should have her own time to do the work whatever they like. Don't try to restrict each other to some boundaries which can create mess in ur relationship.
* Talk politely with each other.
* Have faith on ur life partner as faith is also an important pillar in this relation.
* Understand each others abilities & try to remove his/her disabilities with love.
* Do wish each other on their special days like b'days, anniversaries or valentine's day. Also gift ur better halves occasionally to make them feel special.
* Appreciate each other for their good deeds.
* Don't try to have so much expectations from each other becoz it hurts when things don't go ur way.
* Care for each other when anyone of u is not feeling well.
* Don't talk about ur unhealthy experience in ur life with each other as it can create bitterness in ur relation.
* If u have complaints, tell this to ur partner.
* Love each other unconditionally.

How to do a Head Massage


* Start with Pressure Points
Lying back in a chair, with ur neck supported by a cushion, use ur index & middle fingers in small circular motions on the points at the end of ur eyebrow.

*Relieve Tension
Place ur fingers & thumb across ur forehead from temple to temple. Rhythmically tap each finger lightly for 10 seconds, starting with ur little finger & moving thro' to ur thumb.

*Now U 're Relaxing
Massage the pressure points at the end of ur brows with ur index & middle finger for a further 40 seconds.

*Relieve Scalp Tension & Encourage Blood Flow
Next, move to the top of ur head & using the heel of ur hands, massage the head as u were washing ur hair. Continue for 3-5 mins. Massaging ur scalp every day will stimulate blood flow, which may help if u r growing ur hair.

Want that Flat Tummy


Everybody knows the mantra for losing weight : Eat less, Exercise more. But to get flat abs, u have to do some extra work & also have to change ur eating strategies:

Concentrate on whole grain:
I will favour multi grains. Bran, rice, finger millet, oats & pearl millet have a low glycaemic index (GI), its perfect for weight loss. The soluble fibre in these grains slows down the entry of sugars & fats into ur bloodstream. Obese adults who ate a diet rich in whole grains for 12 weeks lost more ab fat than those who ate refined grains.

Have right fat:
Good sources of healthy fats: Olive or canola oil, avocados, walnuts & flax seed.

Eat water:
The more water rich foods u eat- tomatoes, cucumbers, squashes, gourds, papaya, lettuce, melon & oranges - the smaller ur waist. Calories are low & u feel fuller.

Sip Green Tea:
According to a study, Overweight people who exercised for 3 hours every week lost 8 percent more ab fat by adding a green tea extract to their regimen.

Recipe Corner

Veggie Creamy Dip


Low fat sour cream 1/2 cup
Olive oil 1/2 cup
Cottage cheese crumbled 1 cup
Onion finely chopped 1/4th
Jalapeno chili pepper, deseeded & finely chopped 1
Garlic clove, minced 2-3
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method
1. Whisk together sour cream & oil in a bowl until smooth & creamy. Stir in cottage cheese & rest of the ingredients.
2. Transfer it to another bowl. Cover & chill at least 1 hour before serving.
