Recipe Corner

White Gravy

Onion quartered 4 large
Cashew nuts 1 cup
Oil 2 tbsp
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Green cardamoms 2
Green chillies, slit 2
Mawa(khoya) grated 1/4 cup
Yogurt whisked 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
White pepper powder 1/2 tsp

* Place onions in a pan. Add a cup of water & boil till soft. Drain & cool. Grind in to a smooth paste.
* Soak cashew nuts in half cup of warm water for half an hour & grind to a smooth paste. Heat oil in a pan & add boiled onion paste. Stir & add garlic paste, ginger paste, green cardamoms, slit green chillies. Stir & add grated mawa & cashew nuts paste. Stir.
* Add 1/2 cup of water & mix. cook on low heat for 5-10 mins.
* Add whisked yogurt, salt & white pepper powder. Stir & cook for a min.
