Magic Make-up Tricks

* Lipsticks can be used as a blush bu dabbing a hint of the lip colour on the cheeks & blending it out.

*Dab a spot of frosted & metallic shadows on the pout of the lips to enhance them .


* If eye shadows are in powder form, u can mix them with lip gloss & use.

* Eye shadows can be used as powder blush depending on the shade & texture. Apply with a blush brush all over the apples of the cheeks.

* Old mascara cab be mixed with a few drops of oil & used to touch up greys. But be warned this is temporary & if its too humid or u sweat a lot, the mascara could run all over ur face ....so for those moments use waterproof mascara.



* U can also use powdered eye shadow mixed with hair gel to create any colour of hair streaks.

* Old time favorite is to use eyeliner as a bindi

Makeover

Crimpled Hair


* Make very small braids, tie them tighter than usual.
* Open them to get that gorgeous look.

Zig-Zag Curls


* Apply mousse on semi wet hair, tie 4-5 braids.
* Leave them overnight (8-12 hrs)
* Open them & u will get those zig-zag curls.

Scrunched Hair


* Apply a few drops of gel to towel-dried hair.
* Hold the hair at the tips & scrunch it upwards.
* Hold for a while.
* Back comb ur hair alittle.
* Tie ur hair up in an untidy yet glamorous bun.Be the style diva.

Recipe Corner

Quick Cookie

Ingredients:
1/2 kg green melon
200g finely crushed oatmeal cookies
1 orange
1 orange jelly pack
1 pack vanilla ice-cream
1 apple thinely sliced
250ml cream
sugar to taste
Method:
1. Layer the bottom of bowl with crushed cookies.
2. Puree the melon with sugar. Whip the cream to a stiff consistency.
3. Take slightly melted ice-cream & mix it witgh pureed melon.
4. Lightly fold in the whipped cream. The mixture should be of thick pouring consistency.
5. Pour this mixture over the cookie layer. Set in the fridge for an hour.
6. Make orange jelly. before it sets , pour half the jelly on cookie mix.
7. Cut apple slices into different shapes. Slice the orange & chop the remaining melon.
8. After an hour, remove the mixture from the fridge, arrange fruits on top, pour the remaining jelly & set.

Blood Pressure & Salt









According to various scientific researches it is proved that disorders of high blood pressure & heart are related with salt. Salt is made up of sodium & chloride ions. Its increase in body discard water to enter in blood...& our heart has to make more efforts to work efficiently. That's why the patients with high blood pressure are restricted to low salt diet or without salt diet.
High blood patients are also allowed to eat fruit & veggies to have natural salt present in them instead of having salt in impure form.

*Patients with high BP can have wheat, rice & pearl millet but they should avoid corn flour as it is rich source of sodium.

* Veggies like fenugreek, spinach, coriander, carrot, radish, turnip should be avoided becoz these r rich in sodium. Except these vegetables High BP patients can have other vegetables.

* They can eat all fruits except water melon & jack fruit.

* They should avoid bread, cake & chocolate.

* Don't use excess salt in salads.

* Avoid junk food.

* Eat less spicy food.

Our body needs 4-5 gms of salt daily that we get from the routine eatables.
